Lewis as one who could speak to being on the wrong road. Having once been a non believer, he listened to his good friend J.R.R. Tolkien and made the decision to change course in that respect. In respect to my conversion to Conservative values I often refer to Winston Churchill's observation, "If you are a young man and a conservative, you have no heart. If you are an old man and a liberal,you have no mind". I am not terribly old, but I refuse to let my feelings override what my mind tells be is not right for me or my country.
